Vicky is currently Executive Producer for Out of Joint. She was the first in-house Producer at Theatre503, and has produced 20 professional productions in London, Edinburgh, Paris, Avignon, and Off-Broadway in New York. In 2011, she was selected to participate in the Old Vic New Voices T.S. Eliot US/UK Exchange, and subsequently spent three months working in New York. In May 2012 she received a Stage One Bursary to commission, develop and produce new work with Vicky Graham Productions, whose most recent production of Breeders opened the inaugural One Stage Season (St. James Theatre). In 2013, she received a BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship, and worked with English Touring Theatre to produce Brian Friel’s Translations (UK Theatre Award for Best Touring Production). Vicky works regularly with IdeasTap, Old Vic New Voices, Stage One, Theatrecraft, Musical Theatre Network and the Young Vic Genesis Directors Programme, and is Chair of the Board of Theatre Uncut.

At the moment you are…
Working as Executive Producer at Out of Joint and producing a couple of independent projects. With Out of Joint, Max Stafford-Clark is directing Beckett’s All That Fall for the Enniskillen Festival in Ireland and we’re in pre-production for Rebecca Lenkiewicz’ new play Jane Wenham: The Witch of Walkern. With Vicky Graham Productions, we’re gearing up to an August at the Edinburgh Fringe for House of Bakewel’s show We Can Make You Happy and coming to the end of a final workshop for a new musical adaptation of Paul Gallico’s novel Flowers For Mrs Harris, which we’ll share next week.

What does Stage One mean to you?
Stage One were the first people who told me I was a producer. The seal of approval of the Bursary (which I received in 2012) meant the world to me. Since then, it’s been an invaluable network of experienced producers I can turn to for advice and peers I can share the highs and lows with! Being part of the One Stage Season last year was extraordinary. I learned more in those six months than any other.

Last show you saw and loved?
I went to The Play That Goes Wrong on Sunday and it really took me by surprise. I didn’t stop laughing all evening.

What are you looking forward to in 2015?
So much. I’m excited to be going to Edinburgh for just one week rather than a whole month, to be supporting House of Bakewel and Theatre Uncut, but also just to see some great theatre!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
“It’s only theatre” and “it’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
