The West End workshop is our longest running programme, designed as an introduction into the commercial theatre industry. 

In 2023, Stage One renamed their West End Workshop in memory of Andrew Treagus. Renowned General Manager & Producer for over 40 years, Andrew was instrumental in creating this unique insight into producing in the West End for future theatre leaders.

This workshop is held over three days in London’s West End. Led by our Chief Executive, Joseph Smith and other experienced industry professional, the workshop includes sessions which cover: 

  • Fundraising & investor management
  • Budgeting a commercial production
  • Contracting a West End theatre
  • Marketing & PR
  • Co-producing, touring & transfers

The workshop also includes time for networking with other delegates, and seeing a West End show.

Applications for the Andrew Treagus West End Workshop are now closed.

The workshop will take place on Thursday 16th May - Saturday 18th May 2024 in Covent Garden.
