Meet the 2025-2026 Bridge the Gap Producers!

Stage One are delighted to introduce you to our 2025-26 Bridge the Gap Producers!

There are 13 producers taking part in the programme this year. Anousha Karim will be participating in the programme alongside her Stage One Trainee Producer Placement with the Kiln Theatre.

Anastasiya Yevchenko 

Anastasiya is a Ukrainian producer, director and writer in theatre and film, based in Kyiv and London, passionate about immersive experiences and surrealism. As the founder of the female-led NGO New Ukrainian Drama, she also focuses on international collaboration, creative exchange, and cultural diplomacy. After graduating from NYU Tisch (BFA in theatre, minor in producing), her first professional work was an award-winning surrealist short film If We Had Tomorrow (2019). Anastasiya’s current project is an immersive, interactive, site-specific theatre production Cachés: clé à Dalí (Hidden: key to Dalí), inspired by Salvador Dalí’s only novel Hidden Faces, which started its journey in Kyiv and is now under development for a first Ukrainian-British long-lasting run in London

 

Andy Mandoiu 

Andy Mandoiu is a Midlands-based Producer and Theatre Maker of Romanian and Rroma heritage. With over six years’ experience in the UK arts sector, Andy specialises in supporting migrant and neurodivergent artists to realise their creative projects. He works across the country as an independent producer, fundraiser, and Access Support Writer for Arts Council England applications. Andy has held producing roles with Derby CAN, Derby Theatre, and Nonsuch Studios, and currently leads Chaotic Good Theatre, a company amplifying underrepresented migrant voices.

 

Anousha Karim 

Anousha is a Birmingham-born producer who began her theatre journey at the ADC Theatre whilst studying at the University of Cambridge, working on a range of creative projects including producing Blood Brothers and Dance Nation and stage-managing Passover and BME Shakespeare. She was Tour Manager and Producer for the Cambridge American Stage Tour (CAST), reviving the programme after its post-Covid hiatus and leading a full-scale tour of Romeo and Juliet across the East Coast of the United States. She is the 2025/26 Stage One Bridge the Gap Producer and will be based at the Kiln Theatre for the next year.

 

Ben Quashie

Ben Quashie is the tallest award-winning Producer in the game, with eight years of experience delivering complex, inclusive, and artist-focused work across theatre, film, and audio. As queer, mixed-race, working-class creative, Ben brings a practical, collaborative, and values-led approach to producing and programming—shaped by a deep commitment to new stories, emerging talent, and pathways for underrepresented voices. By May 2025, Ben’s work will have contributed to 70+ productions, earning 39 award nominations and 8 wins, including recognition from the Black British Theatre Awards, UK Theatre Awards, Stage Debut Awards, and Offies. In 2023, he was nominated for Best Producer at the Black British Theatre Awards and is currently a trustee of Boundless Theatre, SCRUM Theatre, and Nuu Theatre.

 

Bobby Harding 

Bobby Harding is an independent live-arts producer originally from Walsall now based in London. They work mainly in new writing and fundraising, and are determined to support groundbreaking artists in making their impossible projects a reality. Recent projects include Main Character Energy by Temi Wilkey (Paines Plough Roundabout @ Summerhall Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024 and Soho Theatre 2025) and LUV SHANNON X by Joseph Wilson (Seventeen Gallery 2024). They draw inspiration from the east London Queer cabaret and drag scenes, watching performers and producers provide unapologetically confronting, cutting-edge entertainment on shoestring budgets. They are currently the Assistant Producer at  LAMDA.

 

Helen Denning 

Originally from Birmingham, Helen is an award winning Sheffield-based producer passionate about creating female-led theatre. She has produced work for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, UK touring, and the Chongqing Chengdu International theatre festival in China. She is the Co-Founder, Producer, and Company Manager of Black Bright Theatre Company. The award winning queer, neurodivergent, and female-led company emerged from a shared vision of creating narrative-driven theatre with complex female characters at its core, specialising in regional horror theatre. Helen is particularly drawn to stories with strong world-building, morally     ambiguous characters, and socio-political themes

 

Jasmyn Fisher-Ryner 

Jasmyn Fisher-Ryner independent Theatre, Events and Digital Producer, and Outreach Consultant from East London. She is Founder and CEO of JFR Productions Ltd. She worked as a producer for the Royal Court Theatre and was nominated for the Best Producer Award at the Black British Theatre Awards in 2022 for producing and platforming the double Olivier nominated production For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy starting at the Royal Court Theatre.  She has a strong focus on working for and with different community and young people groups; and she’s dedicated to platforming emerging artists in spaces that celebrate diversity, accessibility and radical change within theatre and entertainment.

 

Kashif Boothe 

Born and raised in South London, Kashif has been working in the media industry for eleven years, with experience in TV, film, media operations, and advertising at ITV, Discovery Channel, Channel 4, VCCP, and Jamie Oliver Ltd. As an independent filmmaker, Kashif produces films and web series through his production company, Kashif Boothe Entertainment. He is best known for his acclaimed series Nate & Jamie, which won Favourite Web Ensemble at the Screen Nation Awards in 2018. He also executive produced Talia Versus, commissioned by Channel 4, and the documentary Black Man Stand, which earned Best Documentary at the London Short Series Festival in 2019. In 2023, he produced Sunday Dinner, an award-winning short film for M&M’s Fun’d #FilmsYouWantToSee campaign, now streaming on Amazon Prime. Most recently, in 2025, he received The Mainstream Ones to Watch Award for Best TV/Film Director and is currently producing the original musical theatre production Storms Pass By, book and lyrics by Keia Johnson. 

 

Lisa Richardson 

Lisa (she/her) is a producer and arts administrator currently based in London. A native of Brooklyn, NY, she was originally a STEM kid (B.S. in Animal Science with a minor in Astronomy) before coming back to her love of theatre. Prior to moving to London, Lisa worked in creative agencies and regional theatres across the United States. In London, she’s moved towards her mission of enhancing wonder and curiosity while uplifting the work of those she believes in. Here in the UK, she was the General Manager for the 2023 West End showcase of Billie the Kid and is currently the Head of Outreach/Assistant Producer at J Clare Productions and Joy Productions.

 

Raha Mahamoud 

Raha Mahamoud is an award-winning theatre producer with a focus on new writing, bold storytelling, and collaborative, community-rooted work. A former producer at Side eYe Productions, she co-produced Dugsi Dayz — winner of the Untapped Award and BBC Popcorn Award — which premiered at Rich Mix, toured to the Edinburgh Fringe, had a sold-out national run, and transferred to the New Diorama Theatre and Royal Court also a sell out hit. Her credits also include Desperate Times (Futures Festival, Pleasance Theatre) and My Period the Cockblock (Brixton House Festival). Raha has worked across festivals, touring venues, and producing theatres, with a growing body of work that resonates widely while remaining artist-led and socially engaged. Her producing practice — shaped in part through Battersea Arts Centre’s Young Producers programme — blends strong creative collaboration with a thoughtful understanding of audiences and scale. Raha also consults on theatre and film projects, with a particular commitment to platforming Muslim and disabled artists. She is currently developing a slate of new work that speaks to underrepresented experiences while exploring sustainable models of growth — with an eye toward work that can travel, scale, and connect with broader commercial pathways.

 

Suher Sofi

Suher Sofi is a British-Somali producer and founder of JanFirst Productions, a Black female-led company creating bold, nuanced stories for stage and screen. She is currently developing shows and a short film, and making her directorial debut on a commissioned documentary. Previously, Suher produced the play Desperate Times, which sold out in London, toured the UK – including Bristol Old Vic and Birmingham Hippodrome – and won the Futures Festival at Pleasance. It is now being adapted into a web series. Her credits at BBC Studios Productions include Amol Rajan Interviews: Alan Sugar, Gary Lineker, Inside Our Minds (S2), and Life & Death Row (S4). She now works in the editorial team on The One Show.

 

Syania Shaharuddin 

Syania is a Nottingham-based producer originally from Singapore, with a background in Law from the University of Nottingham. She currently works with Nonsuch Studios, contributing to a wide range of creative projects in the Midlands. Having previously produced theatre in Singapore, Syania is passionate about play-led performance and is committed to developing efficient, sustainable commercial models that support underrepresented voices. Outside of work, you’ll likely find her at a rave or deep in a techno set; she’s a dedicated fan of electronic music and is always on the lookout for the next underground night.

 

Zeynep Gunaydin 

Zeynep is a professional freelance producer working across theatre, dance, and community-led projects. She specialises in delivering high-quality events and performances with a focus on supporting emerging artists, engaging communities and young people in the arts, and fostering collaborative practice. Her work spans roles with Sadler’s Wells Theatre, The Little Angel Theatre, and Mousetrap Theatre Projects. She is currently Freelance producer for New Adventures working on Doorstep Duets and producer for Choreographer Vidya Patel. Zeynep has recently produced performances at the V&A, Inspirate Festival and touring across the UK. She is focussed on using her experience to produce accessible new theatre that widens access into the arts and celebrates storytelling.
