How does it work?
The successful candidates will be employed by the partner organisation on a 12 month fixed-term contract, and work within the team. Additionally, this person will receive:
-
One to one mentoring from an experienced producer/professional (likely their line manager),
-
Regular check-ins with the Stage One network
-
A free place on the Stage One Workshop
In summary, Stage One & the host partners are funding 4 fantastic job opportunties for hands-on training in producing commercial theatre in the West End, on tour, and internationally. If awarded a placement, the trainee producer is involved in all aspects of production and ideally will work on two or more shows opening in the West End or going out on tour.
The London Placements are half-funded by Stage One and half-funded by the production office.

"My time at English Touring Theatre as part of the Stage One Producer Placement scheme has been life-changing and career-altering.
Whilst the placement has provided an unforgettable experience producing small to mid-size tours with such a brilliant team, it has also been an amazing source of confidence that has opened my eyes to unexpected pathways within the theatre that I would like to explore.”
